Cyclone in Mumbai: 'Significant rainfall' due to Biparjoy

While the onset of monsoon over Mumbai is still to be declared, many areas in the city and its neighbourhood witnessed significant rains between Tuesday and Wednesday. Indian Meteorological Department officials have attributed the rainfall to the effects of the severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy in the Arabian Sea while maintaining these spells are pre-monsoon showers.
