Sharjah drug plant: Peddler was told weed needed to treat Covid

Baker Anthony Paul, while buying drugs to plant on his victims “for revenge”, told the drug peddler he “wanted weed to treat a Covid-positive relative”, the chargesheet submitted on Tuesday stated. After framing Sadak-2 actor Chrisann Pereira in a drug case in Sharjah, Paul, on the pretext of trying to secure her bail, also tried to extort Rs 80 lakh from her family, the chargesheet added.
