Bombay HC asks BMC to grant builder TDR in 4 weeks

The Bombay High Court has directed the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) to grant a transferable development rights (TDR) certificate to a private builder who surrendered land for the Sahar Elevated Ring Road leading to the International Airport Terminal 2. The court order came after the MMRDA (Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority) stated that it is not the planning authority for the portion of the road built on the land belonging to Eversmile Construction Company Pvt Ltd. The BMC has been given four weeks to issue the TDR certificate.
