Mumbai dengue cases up 3 times in June-Sept than all of last yr

A 27-year-old man in Mumbai fell into a coma due to acute liver failure caused by dengue encephalopathy, making it one of the most severe cases of dengue this year. There has been a significant increase in dengue cases this monsoon season, with the city reporting 3,068 cases from June to September 25. This is nearly three times higher than last year's total cases. Experts warn about the need to be prepared for unexpected developments associated with the disease. In addition to the common complications, there have been cases of dengue enteritis and dengue encephalopathy.
