
A 6-year-old boy in Mulund, Mumbai, was electrocuted after coming in contact with an exposed live wire allegedly left there for power theft. The child was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead shortly after. The father is demanding murder charges against those responsible. While the electrical inspector's report is pending, a senior official from the power company, MSEDCL, stated that they are not responsible as the incident occurred due to tampering of cables for power theft. MSEDCL engineers have stated that action should be taken against those involved in power theft.
