Sujit Patkar used Sanjay Raut card to meet senior BMC official: ED

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a chargesheet in which it alleges that money laundering accused Sujit Patkar used the reference of Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut to meet with a municipal commissioner during the pandemic. Patkar is accused of submitting inflated bills for providing health workers and doctors to Covid centres, compromising the health of patients. The chargesheet also claims that senior BMC officers did not take action despite discrepancies being raised by junior staff. The investigation is ongoing to determine the involvement of other accomplices.
