The Shiv Sena has given the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) a 2-3 day ultimatum to decide on permission for its Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park. The Sena claims that the BMC has been deliberately delaying permission and may have to go to the high court if a decision is not made soon. Last year, there was a showdown between rival factions of the Shiv Sena over holding their annual Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park. This year, the MMRDA grounds at BKC are out of bounds, so the faction that doesn't get permission for Shivaji Park may have to hold its rally elsewhere.
